A camera picked up in 2007 became a career, a craft, and a calling. The privilege of being trusted to document the most important days of people's lives never gets old — not after the first session, and not after thousands.
Based in Plano, Texas, I've photographed weddings at the McKinney Cotton Mill, family sessions at Arbor Hills, maternity portraits in the golden light of Collin County parks, and senior portraits all across DFW. Every session is different. Every family has a story I haven't heard yet.
I believe the best photographs don't happen when everyone is perfectly posed and smiling on cue. They happen in the in-between — the laugh that catches you off guard, the moment a child forgets the camera is there, the look exchanged between two people who are deeply in love.
My job is to be close enough to catch those moments, and quiet enough not to disturb them.
