Yes! We love to do photo shoots outdoor. We have studio available in Dallas also.
Yes! We love relaxed natural light sessions in our client’s homes
Yes, of course! It would be our pleasure to document your celebration of any faith, big or small.
All major credit cards and cash.
We keep a number of backup dates open each month in case of bad weather, and there’s no fee to reschedule to a new date if it’s raining or overcast — in fact, I encourage it! Sunshine is a huge component of my style of photography, and it’s definitely worth waiting for a beautiful day. It will add warmth, dimension, and life to your images!
Preparing For Your Photoshoot

Yes! We love photographing pets. Dog portraits (and cat portraits) are some of our favorites, with or without a two-legged family member.
Schedule haircuts and salon visits up to three weeks before your photo session. You want to be comfortable with your style. We’ve found hair worn down will be more flattering than hair worn up. But if you love your hair up, bring what you need to style it at your session and inform your photographer. Some women choose to go get a blow out and hair style before arriving at the studio.
We prefer to work as a team. You know your child better than we do. As you prepare for your portrait photography session, notice what you do or say that garners great reactions. Hug and kiss your kids, laugh out loud, and strike a festive mood. We’ll ask you to look at the camera when the timing is right, but for the most part ignore the camera.
Avoid wearing TRANSITION lenses to your photo shoot. The lighting will turn them into sunglasses. If you wear glasses outdoors, there is often reflections which require complex retouch charges to fix. If you are very partial to your glasses, you may want to consider having your optician remove the lenses before your session or lend you a pair of frames without lenses in them.
Sure! I love it when my clients bring along a “laugh buddy,” and it’s always fun to grab an extra photo of the two of you together! I don’t recommend bringing your hair stylist with you, but I welcome any communication before the session so that I can keep special requests in mind as we’re shooting.
I love getting to know my clients’ kids, even the ones who are shy/stubborn/you name it! I always approach the session as a new friend who’s just there to play and have a good time. I have all the patience in the world, and I find that being easy-going translates to happy kiddos. That being said, not every moment of the session is perfect, and that’s totally OK — in fact, it’s encouraged! In 10 years, I’m willing to bet that you’ll cherish the image of your toddler crying fake tears just as much as the one that we took 10 seconds later of him happily running toward the camera. My goal is to capture the personalities of the kids in front of my lens, including all of the beautiful quirks, details, and small moments that make up childhood.
We like to do maternity photo sessions at about 30 weeks. We can do them later, depending on your comfort, but 30 weeks is ideal for a pregnancy portrait session.
It depends on the type of wedding/event you are having! If you are planning a formal, black-tie wedding, I’ll be dressed in mostly black and probably a jacket. If you are getting married on the beach in Hawaii, probably a long dress or lighter pants and a blouse. Myself and my staff always dress professionally and appropriately for the location and event we will be shooting.
We shoot with Canon 5D Mark IV and a back up camera Canon 5D Mark II, including prime lenses as well as external Profoto lighting. We always make sure to bring backup equipment in case something does not work as expected. If you are interested in more details let us know, but we would recommend to look at our work and see if you like the results.
Make sure your child is fed, well rested and ready to have a good time. It’s a good idea to tell small children they are going to “play”. We want them to feel comfortable and at ease in the space and with the folks behind the camera.
Believe it or not, pretty much EVERYONE tells me this before their session, and it never turns out to be true! I love coaching my clients through having their photos taken, and I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve to make you look fabulous! When you’re having a great time, you’ll look more beautiful than you thought was possible.
I rarely show previews during the session — not because I’m trying to keep a secret or because you look bad, but because I’m trying to keep the energy up and help you stay focused and positive. I’ve found that if we stop too often to review images, it’s easy to get caught up in what you “should” look like, and you’ll start looking tense. I know it takes a lot to trust a stranger with something as personal as portraits, but I promise that I will go above and beyond to make sure you love how you look in your images!

We go thoroughly through all the images we take during a session and will take the obvious unusable ones in the first step. We also reduce the amount of duplicates so you can enjoy only the best of the best images.
