For weddings, we recommend booking 6–12 months in advance as popular dates fill quickly. For portrait sessions, 4–8 weeks is usually enough, though we can sometimes accommodate shorter notice.

Yes — a 25% retainer secures your date and is applied to your total balance. The remaining balance is due one week before your session or wedding day.

Retainers are non-refundable but your date can be rescheduled once with at least 2 weeks notice (subject to availability). We understand life happens and will always work with you.

We shoot on location — parks, urban settings, your home, a venue you love. We know great spots all across Collin County and DFW. Have somewhere in mind? Tell us and we'll make it work.

We send every client a style guide before their session. Generally: coordinate without matching exactly, avoid busy patterns or logos, and wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. Neutral and earthy tones photograph beautifully.

Portrait sessions run 60–90 minutes. Mini sessions are 30 minutes. Wedding coverage ranges from 6 to 10 hours depending on your package. We never rush — the timeline is built around you.

For portrait sessions we can reschedule at no charge with 24 hours notice. Overcast days actually produce beautiful soft light — sometimes we keep the session. For weddings, we shoot rain or shine and know how to make it work.

Absolutely. We've photographed everything from newborns to five animals at once. We're patient, playful, and know how to get genuine moments even with the most uncooperative little ones.

Portrait galleries are delivered within 2 weeks. Wedding galleries are delivered within 4–6 weeks. You'll receive a link to your private online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints.

Portrait sessions include 50+ edited images. Wedding packages include 300–700+ depending on the package. We don't put a hard cap — you'll receive every image that meets our quality standard.

Yes — your gallery includes a full print release, meaning you can print anywhere you like. We also offer professional print ordering through your gallery portal for the best color accuracy.

We don't deliver RAW files. Every image you receive is professionally edited and color-corrected. The edit is part of what makes a ShutterWide photo a ShutterWide photo.

Yes! We love destination weddings. Travel fees apply depending on distance. Reach out with your location and date and we'll put together a custom quote.

Our Signature and Luxury wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session. Standalone engagement sessions are also available. It's a great way to get comfortable with us before the big day.

Absolutely — we encourage it. We offer a free in-person or video consultation for all wedding inquiries. It's important that you feel confident in your photographer, and we want to make sure we're the right fit for you.

Our Luxury package includes a second photographer. A second shooter can be added to any package for an additional fee. We'll discuss what makes sense for your venue size and guest count.
