An underrated Collin County photography location

Most people don't think of a university campus as a photography location — but the UT Dallas campus is one of Collin County's hidden gems. The combination of modern architecture, manicured grounds, open walkways, and mature trees gives us incredible variety within a single location.

It's particularly popular for senior portraits, where the academic setting adds meaning to the milestone. But we've used UTD for family sessions, engagement photos, and even maternity sessions with beautiful results.

Practical tips

The campus is most accessible for photography on weekends when student traffic is lower. Early morning light hits the east-facing architecture beautifully. Parking is generally easy on weekends. We recommend avoiding finals weeks when the campus is busier than usual.
